Services

Everything from the first survey peg to the tenth year of pruning.

Stages can be taken together or separately. Most concept projects begin with design and carry through to stewardship, which is where a landscape actually earns its keep.

01

Landscape Design

Concept plans, planting schemes and grading studies drawn to suit the site's light, slope and soil.

  • Site survey and light study
  • Concept plan and section sketches
  • Planting palette with seasonal succession
  • Materials board: stone, timber, steel

02

Hardscape & Build

Terraces, dry-stone walls, steps and screens built from durable, locally quarried materials.

  • Stone terraces and board-formed concrete
  • Retaining and seat walls
  • Cedar screens, gates and pergolas
  • Permeable paths and drainage detailing

03

Native Planting

Layered, low-input planting built around regional natives that hold soil and feed pollinators.

  • Meadow and prairie conversions
  • Woodland edge and shade layers
  • Rain gardens and bioswales
  • Establishment care for two seasons

04

Seasonal Stewardship

Ongoing editing rather than mowing — pruning, dividing and adjusting a garden as it matures.

  • Spring cut-back and soil top-dressing
  • Structural pruning
  • Irrigation checks and adjustment
  • Autumn seed collection and division

How a project runs

Four stages, in order.

  1. 01

    Walk the site

We spend an unhurried hour on site reading drainage, wind, views and the way light lands through the day.

  2. 02

    Draw the concept

A plan, two sections and a materials board. Enough to feel the space before a single stone is cut.

  3. 03

    Build in layers

Grading, then structure, then soil, then plants — each stage signed off before the next begins.

  4. 04

    Tend it

Two establishment seasons of visits, then a stewardship rhythm that keeps the design legible for decades.

Questions

Before you ask.

How long does a typical project take?
In this concept, design runs six to eight weeks and build follows in three to twelve weeks depending on the amount of stonework and grading.
Do you work with architects and builders?
Yes — the studio is written to join a project at the site-planning stage so grading, drainage and terraces are settled before foundations go in.
What does a project cost?
Design is priced as a fixed fee by site size; build is quoted per line item. No figures are published here because this is a demonstration brand.
Is Northline Landscape Co. a real company?
No. It is a fictional brand invented by SD Web Studio to demonstrate website design. Projects, people, quotes and reviews shown here are illustrative.
